I think the issue is that you have more than one currency, so review your additional currencies in FI and in Asset Accounting.

Subject: AuC requires an area in the controlling area currency USD

Hi techies,

I am currently doing some testing and have no access to SPRO. While settling the AUC through internal order I am getting an error at KO02 screen "AuC requires an area in the controlling area currency USD".

Steps that I have taken so far.

Created an internal order through KO01 and save it.
Assign budget to the internal order in KO22 and save.
Release the internal order in KO02.
Posting a JV in FB50 and error occurs ""FI: Postings" is not allowed (ORD 100000000002)"
Again go back to KO02 and select extra>>AUC, it gives me an error "AuC requires an area in the controlling area currency USD"

Guys please help me out with this; I got stuck in the middle. Please suggest what to do; I am working on the following scenario. If anyone tells me the complete steps with all the t-codes and procedures, if will really be great help.

Internal Order (Capital)
Add Budget
Release Order
Post JE to Internal Order (95% of budget)
SHOULD result in a warning
Post JE to Internal Order (Beyond budget limit)
SHOULD result in an error
Add supplement budget
Post JE within new limit

Please help me.
