[sap-acct] New fiscal year variant

Posted by euge_gabriel
on Aug 1 at 2:39 AM
Hi,

Our existing company is composed of many company codes and all are using one fiscal year variant(starts from July 1 ends in June 30), now another company will be created under the same controlling area. This newly created company is using calendar year. We are trying to make another fiscal year variant but can't proceed to assign the company to controlling area, an error occur says that old fiscal year variant, controlling area, does not agree with the newly created fiscal year variant.

If you have any idea regarding this matter, I would highly appreciate it.

Thanks

euge

Hi

I suppose you need to look into the correctness of your asset configuration
for depreciation in both depreciation areas. Have you ensured that both
depreciation areas do not use the same depreciation keys for a given asset?
Please check up any one asset as a sample in your asset explorer and confirm
the result.

You could also check if the appropriate financial statement version has been
assigned to the depreciation area.

When you book the invoice or payment just go to WHT and deactivate the other
mode of TDS, that will solve your problem.
You don't need to go to vendor master.

Did you fill out only the withholding tax types in master data of the vendor or the withholding tax types and the withholding tax codes.
If you have several withholding tax types. In that case remove the withholding tax codes and fill these out at the moment of the entering of the invoice.

I feel GLSU can be used to upload the journal entries in excel format to sap.

There is no standard upload program for JE in SAP. A BDC program (SAP
Program RFBIBL00) or an LSMW object can be developed for upload. Again ther
cannot be a standard upload format as the requirements of each organization
and additional account assignments can be different. Once you have the
program or LSMW developed you can determine the format that is uisted for
your organization.

Hello All,

Can you please let us know how to go about this.? i.e. Should we go for AS02 OR is there any other way?

Thanks in advance.

Can you supply more information, ie did you try and mark and release in August or in July? What were you From dates for the cost estimate?

I would expect that if your cost estimate was created from July and you tried to mark and release in August this would create a timing error.

Cheers
