Hi Zunaid,

By changing the depreciation start date, you have only changed the asset
master data whereas changing the transaction data (Asset Value Date) is an
essential element, which we cant do as the year end is closed.

There is only the way to post the Manual writeoff with the T. Code - ABZU.

Thanks & best regards,
Hozefa

Subject: Depreciation amount not changed after Dep Start date changed

Hello Team,
For Asset number 500000565, depreciation is posted for the year 2010. Amount posted is 1,622,591.33. Depreciation start date is 10.11.2010. Asset year end closing is done. AJAB and AJRW is done.
We realized that depreciation start date is 07.03.2011. It means depreciation of 1,336,923.84 should be reversed in 2011 which was posted in 2010.
We have changed the depreciation start date to 07.03.2011 to take the effect of 1,336,923.84 in asset. But even if date is changed there is no effect in planned amount posting in current year. Amount remains same as it were before.

Zunaid
